Dear Cardiovascular/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Professional,

AACVPR is proud to announce a scholarship opportunity for international cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation professionals. The AACVPR International Attendee Scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving nurse, physician, medical scientist, allied healthcare practitioner or educator, and who, in his or her professional endeavors, is regularly involved in some aspect of cardiovascular and/or pulmonary rehabilitation from a country outside the United States. The award is meant to encourage international meeting attendance at the AACVPR Annual Meeting in order to foster the bonds between AACVPR and these aforementioned members of international cardiac/pulmonary rehab societies and program staff from around the world. This award provides each scholarship recipient with the possibility for a complimentary Annual Meeting registration and a stipend that may not exceed $1,250 toward travel and lodging. AACVPR will choose no more than ten (10) recipients annually for this scholarship.

This year, AACVPR is stressing the importance of young and emerging professionals in the field to receive an opportunity to travel to the United States and attend our Annual Meeting. Qualified applicants should be a student/resident/trainee in their first five (5) years of professional work in cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation. Please encourage individuals who fit this criterion to apply.
